Training

Many companies fully recognise that the key to achieving a successful Oil Company / CDI inspection is by training of the on board management and the office staff in the thorough understanding and management of the inspection process.

Once the ship’s crew including key members of the on-board management team are trained the necessity for embarking a company superintendent / third party consultants for pre-vetting will be significantly reduced. This will also have a direct impact on the running cost of the vessels.

The full benefit will be achieved when the office superintendents are also trained in understanding and managing the inspection process from an office perspective. It is to be appreciated that the actions in the office and the response to observations made by the inspector reflects directly on the management’s standard of ship management.

TAK Marine has the depth of knowledge and experience to deliver such training to sea staff either on-board or ashore. Tailor-made courses for office staff can be delivered at a location convenient to the company.

In 2012 several training seminars, tailor-made to the specific requirements of clients, were delivered to ship and office staff in several countries.
